Public Enemies all star cast led by Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Marion Cotillard, who was nominated for an Oscar for her star turn as Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose," is in negotiations to join Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in the Depression-era crime drama "Public Enemies."

An adaptation of Brian Burrough's book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43," the story follows the government's attempt to stop the criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd. Depp is playing Dillinger to Bale's famed FBI agent Melvin Purvis.

Cotillard will play Billie, Dillinger's torch singer girlfriend.

Michael Mann ("The Insider," "Collateral," "Miami Vice") is directing for Universal. Mann wrote the script with Ronan Bennett and Ann Biderman.

"Enemies" is not Cotillard's first English-language feature. "A Good Year" and "Big Fish" are among the English-language productions the French actress has appeared in.

Grand ami de toujours, il a accepté de faire le con pour moi. Euh comment ça c'est pas crédible ? Bon il a juste accepté de faire le con pour moi alors.... :-) Mais on a quand même fait 85 photos, dont une trentaine en mitraillage. La lumière était à chier, va falloir que je sélectionne, que je retraite, mais j'essayerais d'en rajouter dans les prochains jours.

Soit dit en passant Depp est meilleur modèle que Orlando Bloom, qui en vrai ne ressemble à rien. Tout le contraire de "Johnny-j'ai la classe depuis que je suis né".
